1 - Can children under 12 years do the rafting to the border if they are accompanied by their parents?

No, the rafting to the border is for people over 12 years old. We do a class II rafting, also in the Manso river, to this excursion can go children over 4 years of age accompanied or with permission of their parents.

2 - Do I need to have previous experience to do the rafting to the border (class III-IV)?

No, our guides will give you all the necessary instructions before you jump into the raft so that you can feel confident and secure when you’re rafting in white waters. Any person with a minimum of physical shape can do it.

3 - Do I have to take my own sleeping bag and mat for the expeditions?
We provide you of a sleeping bag and an inflatable mattress, as well as the tents which are for two people. You only need to bring you clothes and personal hygiene effects.
4 - How can I return to Bariloche after doing the Crossing of the Andes expedition?
The trip ends in Puerto Varas, but it can optionally include the return to Bariloche via the “Cruce de los Lagos” or crossing of the lakes excursion. Another possibility is to return to Bariloche by bus from Puerto Varas, there are many companies that offer this route.
5 - Are there wild animals that could attack during the camps?
The only wild animal that exists in this region is the jabalí (wild boar), but these animals don’t go near camps, the noise and a fire from the campsite frighten them away.
